Messrs Steinway & Son were always happy to ‘customise’ your grand piano for you and this was the case for Leo Lewin, the art-collector and industrialist, in 1910. He commissioned the architect Oscar Kaufmann to design not just the grand piano but the other furnishings for his villa in Breslau .


Rarely do such items come onto the market so here was a
chance to get a slice of history!
