It has a Compass F' to c'''' of five and a half octaves and uses the English grand action. Partially restored in 2010 by the Music Room Workshop and is in full playing condition. Carl Kolbe, Gotha (c1825) A Viennese grand piano the walnut case boxwood strung and gilt metal mounted, raised on gilt decorated gun-barrel turned legs, united by a stretcher with an ebonised lyre; the fascia with pierced gilt metal mounted motifs and enamelled name plate. Compass F' to f'''' (6 octaves). It has four pedals; shift, sustain, moderator (celeste) and a pedal for Janissary music. This instrument was restored by Georg F. Senn in 1978.
