Erard (c1918) A 7ft 7in grand piano in a flame mahogany case with boxwood and ebony banding, on six faceted slender supports capped and terminated in ormolu, with traditional lyre. This model known as the Modele Trianon is based on the case decoration of the Erard grand piano made for Marie Antoinette, the piano now in the Cite de la Musique in Paris. The Erard archive states that it was originally supplied to Monsieur Blum, this is believed to be Leo Blum the Prime Minister of France from 1936 - 37. (See back cover illustration)
