Lot 2 - Yamaha (c1986) - | Est. £5,000 - £7,000

£4,800.00

A 6ft 1in Model C3 grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs.

Condition Report:

LOT 2 – YAMAHA GRAND

Casework:  The case is in good general condition.  There are one or two surface scratches which are always present on these vulnerable high shine finishes and there is a little surface dirt which could do with cleaning.  There is a small repaired impact mark to the front rail of the piano, just below the keys, but nothing else discernible.

Frame, Pins, Strings, Soundboard and Bridges:  Are good.

Hammers and Action:  The action is good.

Keys and Keyboard:  Is in acceptable condition but there is yellowing - this is in line with the characteristics displayed by Ivorite as it gets older – Ivorite was an ivory substitute made of casein.  There is a brochure that comes with this piano which details this process, so this is not to be confused with ivory; this is Yamaha’s own albumin based Ivorite keyboard covering.  This is slightly yellow and could do with a little attention.

This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only.  It does not constitute a guarantee and potential buyers should satisfy themselves about the lot before bidding.
