Commission

Will be charged on the sale of the instrument/s calculated as a percentage of the Hammer Price.

15% excl. VAT

Loss & Damage Warranty

Will be charged on all pianos entered into auction. This covers the piano whilst in the care of Piano Auctions Ltd.

Ivory Registration, Article 10.,Keyboard Change & Tuning

Ivory Registration

It is now illegal to sell a piano with an ivory keyboard dating post 1975. Pianos with ivory keyboards dating pre 1975 need to be registered with APHA on the government website.

In cases where the piano dates between 1947 and 1974 an Article 10. Certificate will need to be applied for.

Keyboard Change

In cases where the piano dates post 1975 the keyboard will need to be changed and the ivories removed.

will be offered on an advisory basis and is optional once the piano has been set up and tested.

Payment

After your piano has successfully sold in one of our auctions, you will be sent a post sale advice letter. This letter shows you the hammer price your piano achieved. You will then receive your statement which includes all the commission and charges that will be deducted from the settlement amount. The funds will be paid into your bank account within 21 days via bank transfer.
