Lot 22 - Bechstein (c2008) - | Est. £10,000 - £15,000

£7,500.00

A 5ft 3in Model 160 Academy grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs.

Condition Report:

LOT 22 – BECHSTEIN GRAND

Casework:  Is in generally good condition but there are one or two surface scratches, most notably to the back of the top lid.  There are also one or two areas of damage, a little bit of abrasion to the bass cheek block to the side and a little bit of damage at the treble end at the bottom underneath the cheek block itself to the side of the piano.  So, nothing serious but these do need to be factored in.

Frame, Pins, Strings, Soundboard and Bridges:  Are all very good.

Hammers and Action:  The action is good.  Perhaps a hammer shaping required but the piano sounds very nice without.

Keys and Keyboard:  Is plastic and is in very good condition.

General Notes:  All in all, a super piano which needs a little bit of cosmetic fettling and will then be ready to go.

This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only.  It does not constitute a guarantee and potential buyers should satisfy themselves about the lot before bidding.
