Condition Report:

LOT 112 – BLÜTHNER GRAND

Is 5ft 5in

Casework:  The case is in generally acceptable condition but there are areas of damage to both cheek blocks and one or two knocks to the rail under the key slip, as well as small impact marks in various other places.  There is also surface scratching, expected on polyester.

Frame and Soundboard:  Are good, as are the pins and strings.  Just a little dust on the soundboard.  Please note:  although this has no effect on sound, the polish has started to craze on the soundboard – this is not really noticeable.

Keys and Keyboard:  Is plastic and in good condition, although please note that there is a little side-to-side play in this keyboard.

Hammers and Action:  Are good, although the hammers, in my opinion, would benefit from a re-shaping as they are squared, particularly in the tenor and treble areas.

This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only.  It does not constitute a guarantee and potential buyers should satisfy themselves about the lot before bidding.

Buyers Premium: 24% incl. VAT
