A 6ft 6in grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs.
Condition Report:
LOT 133 – WEINBACH GRAND
Casework: The case is acceptable but there are quite a large number of scratches and one or two impact dents around the body of the piano – on the cheek blocks and the lip of the fall.
Frame and Soundboard: Are in good condition – the soundboard is very dusty and will need cleaning. The frame is good but it is a little dull and would also benefit from cleaning. The pins and strings are very acceptable but there is a little corrosion on the treble strings and a little time spent with wire wool will do the trick. There is what looks like candle wax, that has been spilled into the pins in the upper treble and this, for the sake of aesthetics, should be removed.
Keys and Keyboard: Is plastic – it is a little dirty but is basically good.
Hammers and Action: Are good.
