Lot 79 - Bösendorfer (c1938) - | Est. £4,000 - £6,000 - Amendment

£7,500.00

Amendment: A 5ft 3in Model 155 grand piano in a bright mahogany case on square tapered legs; together with a stool.

Ivory Registration Number: Q7AWARYQ

Condition Report:

LOT 79 – BÖSENDORFER GRAND

Is merely a bright mahogany – the actual colour is medium mahogany.

Casework:  The case is in good condition, having been re-polished to a high standard, although there is fading to the treble end, most notable on the front side.

Frame and Soundboard:  Are good.  Everything is very clean and the soundboard just needs nothing more than a light dusting.  The pins and stringing are good – dust round the pins could do with removing, so a little cleaning and all this will be remedied.

Keys and Keyboard:  Is ivory and is in good condition and the general appearance is very acceptable.

Hammers and Action:  Are good.  There is a little ‘spotting’ on the hammers but this is nothing to worry about.

General Notes:  This is a super little piano that has had work done to a very good standard.  It plays very nicely and sounds good.

This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only.  It does not constitute a guarantee and potential buyers should satisfy themselves about the lot before bidding.
